What is true beauty? The number on the scale, the person in the mirror, the person you aspire to become or the person you are?

Working in the fitness industry and being a personal trainer, I see it all. Defined muscles, beautiful skin, and what can be seen. That focus is clear. But what about the things that you can’t see? The hardships of life, the financial pressures, the challenges of raising kids and striving to fit the mold of what the world tells us to be, successful.

Gyms carry a stigma that your bodies appearance is the most important aspect of who you are. As a personal trainer, I have helped men and woman of all sizes reach their goals of weight loss, agility and increased physical strength.

However, through the process of changing the physical appearance, I have realized what people are truly looking for has more to do with the heart than the body. One walks into a gym thinking, “if I could just fix my body,” the burning question of, “Who am I?” would be answered.

My clients have had a variety of goals and ideas of how to achieve it. Some want to be healthier, happier or simply stronger. The reality is each one wants to see a change. The essential question is whether or not the body holds the key to change or is there something more? A desperation for change brings them to me as they look at themselves and ask, “Who am I and how did I get here.” The essential question is whether or not the body holds the key to change or is there something more?

My goal as a trainer and coach is to bring a life change. It’s not only about the body, it’s also about the mind and the heart as well. We live in a culture where outward appearance holds the most value, and the truth of who you are within is to remain hidden. Have you looked inside to discover all that you were created to be?

You are authentic. You are one of a kind. You are meant to live and be all the wonderful things you know are deep inside you. Do not allow people to tell you your body is the key to happiness. The key is knowing and loving who you are from the inside out, and that will help you achieve every goal that is put in front of you.

You are not a number on a scale. You have one, but it does not define you. You are not who you see in a mirror. You have a reflection, but if it does not reflect your heart it is not the true you.

The real question is… are you ready to look inside and take the journey from the inside out? The beginning of this road is to simply ask yourself are you a true reflection of your heart?

My purpose is to work with clients who want to search their heart, sharpen their mind and see a difference in their bodies ultimately achieving a transformed life.
